With developers in a constant battle to deliver games offering ever more realistic gameplay where Hollywood was once the undisputed box office champion in entertainment the gaming industry is now clipping at its heels.
It's not that Hollywood has stalled or experienced a sudden deceleration but very much that the gaming industry underdog has come of age. New game releases are now huge events in their own right and notch up ever increasing revenues. The small screen has become a lucrative extension of the actors repertoire with blockbuster stars enticed into gaming voice over roles.
A-listers such as Keanu Reeves and Kristin Bell have made the most of these new opportunities placing themselves at the forefront of this new frontier of entertainment.
