Arcade snowboarding title Tricky Madness is expanding its slope-carving action with a major new update introducing multiplayer and Jam Mode on 17 December 2026.
Developed by solo creator Nathan Dearth, the title serves as a love letter to early 2000s arcade snowboarding classics. Since entering Early Access on Steam, the game has earned a "Very Positive" rating across more than 450 player reviews by combining nostalgic tricking mechanics with modernized visuals and fluid gameplay.
The upcoming free update brings multiplayer support for up to eight players total, including four-player local split-screen. Players can team up or race head-to-head in mixed lobbies, pulling off extreme jumps at unrealistic speeds and smashing through environments together.
Alongside standard multiplayer, the update debuts Jam Mode, designed for endless arcade action. Available in both solo and multiplayer formats, Jam Mode allows players to drop into continuous sessions where they can vote on upcoming events and courses, test their skills, and optimize line runs across the mountain.
The full release of Tricky Madness will feature eight handcrafted standalone maps—four of which are currently playable in Early Access—along with a dedicated open-world campaign mode across a connected mountain, eight fully voiced characters, an in-game DJ commentator, and expanded game modes spanning freestyle, time trials, and races. A console release is planned following the Early Access PC run.
