Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has officially launched Tales of Eternia Remastered, bringing an enhanced version of the classic action RPG to modern platforms. The game is available starting today, 16th October 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Originally released in 2006, Tales of Eternia Remastered introduces significant visual and gameplay updates. Players can toggle between modern high-definition graphics and original sound effects using new Graphics and SFX modes. Quality-of-life additions include customizable experience boost options, adjustable encounter rates, toggleable destination icons, auto-battle acceleration, Battle Retry, and Quick Recovery features.
For veterans seeking a tougher challenge, the remaster unlocks an Extreme difficulty mode right from the start, alongside an all-new "Unknown" difficulty setting that opens up after completing the main story.
The narrative centers on protagonist Reid Hershel alongside his companions Farah, Keele, and Meredy. Set in the dual-world realm of Eternia, where two distinct lands gaze at each other across the sky, the group embarks on a quest to avert the "Grand Fall"—a cataclysmic event that threatens to destroy both Inferia and Celestia. To save their worlds from total destruction, the heroes must harness the powers of elemental spirits known as Greater Craymels.
Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe confirmed that full press assets and media kits have been made available via their distribution portal, with the title now available for digital purchase across all announced formats.
