Finnish publisher Bonus Stage, alongside development studios PlayTogether Studio and Pebbles Games, has released a free playable demo for Arctic Drive. The vehicle-based survival and crafting game set in a frozen, storm-swept wilderness is available to sample on Steam starting today, giving players a early preview before its Early Access launch on 25 November 2026.

In Arctic Drive, your car serves as your absolute lifeline. Players must drive into the unknown, search points of interest for vital parts and supplies, and maintain their vehicle to withstand sub-zero temperatures. Every discovery counts: salvaged components can be bolted directly onto the vehicle, used gear can be broken down into crafting materials at workbenches, and players can eventually trade up to superior vehicles as they push further north.

The initial demo offers a complete gameplay loop through a specific scenario, featuring dynamic biomes with shifting roads, frequent blizzards, and essential scavenging mechanics. Players can craft items ranging from repair kits and upgraded tires to warming protein bars.

The development and publishing teams draw heavily on personal experience, with team members hailing from arctic regions and bringing real-world background as car mechanics. They understand firsthand the stakes of relying on a vehicle when temperatures plunge to minus thirty degrees. "Arctic Drive turns that feeling into a game: every part you find and every gallon of fuel you save keeps you moving," stated Sami Mikkola, founder of Bonus Stage Publishing. "We want players to try the demo, tell us what they think, and help shape the game before Early Access."

Created through a collaboration between Danish developer Pebbles Games, Montreal-based PlayTogether Studio, and Finnish publisher Bonus Stage Publishing, Arctic Drive combines real-world survival tension with goal-driven exploration. Players who enjoy the demo can wishlist the title on Steam today to receive updates ahead of the official 25 November Early Access debut.
