Amazon Game Studios, Crystal Dynamics, and Flying Wild Hog have announced that pre-orders are officially open for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis on Nintendo Switch 2, following a reveal during today's Nintendo Direct presentation.
The title is scheduled for launch on 12 February 2027 across Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis serves as a reimagining of the original 1996 action-adventure title. The updated game reconstructs Lara Croft’s initial quest to locate the secrets of Atlantis, featuring modernized gameplay mechanics, expanded narrative connections, and updated visual fidelity. Environments across Peru, Greece, and Egypt have been redesigned, incorporating updated puzzle mechanics, traversal systems, and cinematic combat encounters—including the iconic confrontation with the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Players will utilize Lara's signature dual pistols, unlockable weaponry, and acrobatic movement to navigate environments and engage hostiles ranging from local wildlife to mythological creatures.
"This is the legendary adventure fans remember, reimagined in ways that weren't possible before, and with new surprises," the announcement states. "For long-time fans, it's a chance to relive the adventure that started it all with a fresh perspective. For newcomers, it's an opportunity to experience one of gaming's most celebrated adventures with a modern lens."
The Nintendo Switch 2 release will be offered in digital formats alongside a physical Game-Key Card edition at select retailers. Three digital and physical tiers have been detailed: a Standard Edition featuring the base game and a pre-order bonus Survivor Outfit; a Deluxe Edition adding 48-hour early access, a post-launch DLC story pack, and cosmetic items; and a physical Collector’s Edition.
The Collector's Edition package includes the Deluxe content alongside physical collectibles, including a steel case, a Lara Croft statue, an art book, a Croft signet pin, and a Triumvirate Talisman keychain. Pre-orders are currently live across digital storefronts.
