NetEase Games and developer Naked Rain have announced that free-to-play urban open-world RPG ANANTA will launch worldwide on 15 January 2027.
The title will be available across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms. The publisher revealed that global pre-registrations have surpassed 17 million players across 110 countries ahead of launch.
Accompanying the release date announcement, NetEase released a new story trailer introducing Chongxiao, the game's second major metropolis. Chongxiao draws design inspiration from real-world Asian cities, including Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Tokyo, joining the game's expanding open-world map.
Set in a modern environment governed by online culture and algorithms, ANANTA incorporates a core gameplay system centered on social influence and content creation. Players navigate urban environments as influencers, building reputations, completing citywide missions, and unlocking gameplay perks by expanding their in-game social following.
Combat features dynamic martial arts mechanics, allowing players to utilize environmental elements and everyday objects as weapons during encounters. Players can recruit agents to rebuild the A.C.D. team, switching between playable characters to experience different storylines, combat styles, and urban professions—such as hackers, delivery riders, and law enforcement officers.
Exploration options across the game's open world include interactions with cat cafés, arcades, restaurants, and gyms, alongside multiple transportation methods including motorcycles, cars, helicopters, yachts, and hang gliders.
Developed by Naked Rain and published globally by NetEase Games, ANANTA will be available via a dedicated PC client, Steam, PlayStation 5, and iOS and Android mobile devices on 15 January 2027. Digital pre-registration is currently open through the game's official website.
