Developer Torn Banner Studios and publisher Green Man Gaming have officially launched the 1.0 version of No More Room in Hell 2, bringing the intense eight-player co-op zombie survival title to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Exiting Early Access after two years of community-driven development, the game debuts with full cross-play support and substantial launch discounts across all digital storefronts.

The massive 1.0 rollout introduces the Armageddon Update, expanding the core tactical horror experience where high-stakes permadeath makes every encounter with the infected a fight for survival. To ensure all players start on equal footing, launch day includes a global progress reset, alongside new onboarding features like interactive training grounds, a smoother Beginner difficulty tier, and a standalone Solo Mode with permadeath disabled for risk-free practice.

For seasoned veterans seeking an uncompromised challenge, higher difficulty settings have been retuned to be significantly more punishing. The update expands the playable environment roster to its largest count yet, adding four new maps: the Flooded zone, Lighthouse, a reimagined Night of the Living Dead farmstead for the new wave-based Survival Mode, and the military bunker Raven Rock for Objective Mode.

Gameplay enhancements feature overhauled melee and firearm combat mechanics, dynamic visual damage on infected enemies, and new zombie variants including Prime Runners and Army Reserves. Quality-of-life additions include an early individual extraction mechanic when a run turns fatal, cross-platform achievement integration, performance optimizations utilizing DLSS 4.5, and over 8,000 bug fixes.

Torn Banner Studios CEO Steve Piggott highlighted that working directly alongside the Early Access community allowed the team to refine the sequel into a modern co-op nightmare while preserving its hardcore DNA. Green Man Gaming EVP of Publishing Chris Jones added that bringing full feature parity and cross-play to console players provides a fresh, high-stakes alternative to traditional arcade horde shooters.

No More Room in Hell 2 is available now globally on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
