Psychological horror game lily's world XD is officially set to launch on PC on 17 September 2026. Published by UK-based Kwalee and created by developer and content creator SonderingEmily, the title invites players to step into the nostalgic era of the 2000s web as they investigate the personal computer of a teenage girl named Lily.
The game centers on exploring Lily’s laptop to uncover the dark secrets behind her sudden disappearance. Players can channel their inner 2000s teen by reading old chat logs, customizing her personal blog, and sifting through embarrassing selfies. However, what begins as an intrusion into a stranger's digital life quickly takes an unsettling turn. As players dig deeper into hidden files and decode cryptic messages, they begin finding communications addressed directly to them, proving that someone—or something—else is monitoring their every click.
The story touches on themes of friendship, body image, and the awkward experience of growing up online as a lonely teen. To build an authentic atmosphere, the game incorporates real photos from the developer and her friends' teenage years. Beyond examining Lily's past, players must interact with her childhood friends to piece together her whereabouts.
