TWISTED TOWER has officially confirmed its upcoming launch, inviting players to survive a carnival of nightmares when the first-person shooter arrives on PC via Steam on 18 August 2026. Published under Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms label, the action-adventure FPS is the latest project from indie developer Atmos Games, the studio helmed by veteran developer Thomas Brush whose prior dark-themed hits include Pinstripe and Neversong.
Set within the decaying confines of an abandoned 1950s holiday resort, the game blends the nostalgic aesthetics of vintage Disneyland with the dystopian, atmospheric dread of BioShock. Players must navigate a macabre world of mischief and mayhem, battling their way through legions of corrupted fairy-tale mascots who are roaming the park's grounds. To push past these terrifying creatures, users can wield and upgrade an array of combat weaponry, including a whack-a-mole mallet, a rubber-band pistol, a dart-throwing Tommy gun, and a bubblegum-spitting chain gun.
The campaign features a mysterious and deeply emotional narrative that unfolds across five distinctly themed, immersive environments. Players will ascend the resort by exploring a haunted hotel, a dilapidated waterpark, a clown casino, a carnival forest, and an abandoned space station. Along the route, players can collect bizarre, hidden toys that unlock new movement upgrades—such as enhanced jumping, dashing, and grappling mechanics—enabling new ways to scale the environment.
Designed with replayability in mind, the shooter features branching choices and unique paths, offering entirely fresh level configurations and narrative discoveries with each subsequent playthrough. The central mission tasks players with overcoming deadly environmental traps, solving intricate puzzles, and enduring bloody, punchy gunplay to save the love of their life waiting at the top of the structure. Wishlists are currently open on the Steam platform ahead of the game's official opening to international visitors next month.
