APEX LEGENDS is set to cross over with CD Projekt Red’s iconic Cyberpunk franchise, bringing the gritty, high-tech world of Night City into the Outlands. Launching across all major gaming platforms on July 14, 2026, the limited-time collaborative event transforms the battle royale experience with extensive aesthetic redesigns, fresh gameplay mechanics, and exclusive thematic cosmetics.
The centerpiece of the update is the Night City E-District map, a complete neon overhaul of the urban battlefield. Players dropping into the arena will navigate beneath glowing, futuristic skyboxes, massive holographic koi fish drifting through the air, and heavily glitched digital signage designed to mirror the dystopian aesthetic of Cyberpunk.
In addition to visual changes, the Wildcard game mode introduces powerful Cyberware mods that fundamentally alter movement and combat strategies. Players can equip the Sandevistan mod to execute rapid, multi-directional dashes to close distances or escape danger. Alternatively, the Blackwall Breach mod allows characters to phase into the Net to reposition safely before returning to the battlefield with a disruptive EMP blast.
However, utilizing this powerful technology comes with the severe risk of Cyberpsychosis. As players activate their custom abilities, a dedicated capacity meter fills up. Reaching maximum capacity triggers a state of full Cyberpsychosis, granting immense movement speed and devastating melee damage at the cost of losing access to all weapons, standard abilities, shields, and ordnance. To manage their sanity, players must seek out Immunoblocker Syringes or Caches scattered across the map to reset their levels.
The crossover also introduces a massive suite of cosmetic rewards, including eight character skins for popular heroes alongside matching weapon wraps. Players can also hunt down the Mythic Skippy Alternator, an intelligent, talking firearm that responds dynamically to player actions based on chosen gameplay modes. Throughout the festivities, competitors can earn in-game currency to spend at a dedicated Reward Shop featuring themed Arasaka and Kang-Tao gear.
