Everstone Studio has officially launched its hit free-to-play Wuxia open-world action RPG, Where Winds Meet, on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Making its day-one debut on the Xbox Game Pass library, the title has already amassed over 80 million players worldwide since its initial release. To celebrate the major console milestone, the developers unveiled a sneak peek at the upcoming third major expansion, "Hidden Mountain," during the annual Xbox Games Showcase.
The epic open-world title allows players to forge their own legends in 10th-century China, engaging in rich solo, co-op, and PvP adventures across a seamless landscape. The newly announced "Hidden Mountain" expansion introduces a vertical, multi-layered 3D landscape that challenges players with treacherous traversal routes and hidden regional secrets. The update also debuts the secretive Mohist Sect, a legendary faction that brings advanced martial arts mechanics and major narrative twists, alongside the highly anticipated "Hand Guard Discipline"—a fast-paced combat style designed for explosive close-quarters counter-attacks.
The new console release features extensive hardware optimization tailored for the home console experience. The title utilizes full Smart Delivery support, an overhauled user interface, enlarged text scaling for living room readability, and full HDR support. It also features AMD FSR 2 technology to deliver fluid performance during high-speed exploration, achieving up to 4K upscaling on Xbox Series X. Additionally, Everstone Studio has revealed a custom-designed Xbox Wireless Controller meticulously styled to reflect the elegant, lethal aesthetics of the game's historic universe.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can immediately claim an exclusive Day One starter pack via the perks gallery. Available from June 7 through to July 23, the digital package contains 450 Echo Jade, 90,000 in-game coins, and essential character progression items such as Attune Stones, Lingering Melodies, and Pillow Pills. Players can download the core game immediately through the Xbox Marketplace.
