Get ready to head back to the fields. Zurich-based developer and publisher GIANTS Software has officially announced that Farming Simulator 26 will launch on May 19, 2026. This latest installment brings the beloved agricultural franchise back to the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices (iOS and Android), introducing a host of new features designed to balance relaxation with rewarding progression.

New Challenges and Structured Growth

The headline addition for 2026 is a brand-new Challenge System. While the series is famous for its "play-at-your-own-pace" sandbox nature, Farming Simulator 26 now offers optional, structured tasks to guide players. These weekly and seasonal challenges encourage deeper engagement with the game’s ecosystem—for example, tasking a farmer with delivering wheat to a grain mill to ensure the local bakery can produce cakes. Completing these objectives provides a tangible sense of progression and unique rewards.

Expanded Environments and Authentic Machinery

Players will be able to establish their homesteads across two entirely new maps: one inspired by the rolling landscapes of Europe and the other by the vast expanses of North America. To manage these lands, the game features an impressive fleet of over 120 authentic machines from world-renowned manufacturers, including:

John Deere, Case IH, and CLAAS

Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and New Holland

Kubota, Valtra, and many more.

A Diverse Farming Experience

Whether you prefer traditional crop cultivation, forestry, or animal husbandry, Farming Simulator 26 has you covered. The game features 15 different crops and a variety of livestock, including cows, sheep, chickens, and goats. Enhanced production chains and logistics add a layer of management depth, while new GPS guidance and improved tutorials make the experience more accessible than ever for newcomers on portable platforms.
