During the Xbox Partner Showcase, AdHoc Studio announced that its critically acclaimed superhero comedy, Dispatch, is heading to Xbox this summer. With over 4 million copies sold across PlayStation 5 and PC, and a recent debut on Nintendo Switch, the critically acclaimed title is set to complete its journey across all major consoles.
On Xbox, Dispatch will launch as a full-featured version of the original PC release, complete with Xbox Play Anywhere support. A single purchase unlocks the experience on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and supported gaming handhelds, with seamless cross-save functionality that allows players to carry their choices - and their consequences - between platforms without interruption.
“Dispatch is ultimately about people - messy, complicated, and just trying their best. Bringing it to Xbox with full Play Anywhere support means more players can experience the complete story however and wherever they want.” - Michael Choung, Executive Producer at AdHoc Studio.
In Dispatch, players take on the role of Robert Robertson III, formerly known as Mecha Man, whose mech-suit is destroyed in a battle against his nemesis. He is now forced to take a job at a superhero dispatch centre: not as a hero, but a dispatcher. Players assign this crew of flawed characters to missions across Los Angeles, with each character's personality, skills, and relationships influencing how those missions play out. Choices carry consequences throughout all eight episodes, affecting both the story and the people within it.
The cast features Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Jeffrey Wright (The Batman), Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part II), Erin Yvette (Hades II), Travis Willingham, Matthew Mercer, and familiar faces from the gaming community, including Jacksepticeye, MoistCr1TiKaL, and Alanah Pearce.
