The wait for console drifting enthusiasts is nearly over. Gaming Factory has officially announced that JDM: Japanese Drift Master will make its highly anticipated debut on PlayStation 5 on February 6, 2026. Launching at a retail price of $34.99 USD, the PS5 version promises to be the definitive edition of the open-world racer, arriving with every piece of content currently available on PC and Xbox.

A Complete Package from Day One

PS5 players will benefit from nearly a year of post-launch refinements since the game’s original Steam release in May 2025. This includes the high-fidelity Photo Mode, the "Landmarks" exploration activity, and significant physics overhauls to the Arcade Driving model. The roster is equally robust, featuring iconic licensed machinery like the Honda NSX NA1, Subaru Impreza GV STI, and the Nissan GT-R R35 EBA.

Fans of drifting culture will be particularly excited about the soundtrack. The PS5 launch includes the recently added Eurobeat radio station, featuring legendary genre staples such as Max Coveri’s "Running in the 90’s" and Ken Blast’s "The Top." Additionally, the recent "Akina Family" update—which added five non-licensed cars inspired by iconic drift manga and anime—will be included in the base game.

Day-One DLC: JDM Goes to America

Simultaneous with the main game’s launch, the "JDM: Made in USA" DLC will be available for $5.99 USD. This expansion pays homage to the American drifting scene, introducing six unlicensed muscle cars that bring a different kind of torque and heavy-hitting power to the Japanese mountain passes.

About the Game

JDM: Japanese Drift Master invites players to explore a vast open world inspired by the legendary car culture of Japan. Beyond the competitive drifting and mountain "touge" runs, the game features a unique narrative told through hand-drawn manga pages, centered on a story of second chances. With optimized loading times and rebalanced difficulty modes, the PS5 version is tuned to deliver the smoothest drifting experience yet.
