A new development studio, Panic Stations, founded by veterans of the popular party game Fall Guys, has unveiled its debut title: Frog Sqwad! Described as a "friendslop" game, the chaotic physics-based multiplayer experience was announced yesterday during the Day of the Devs event, with an accompanying trailer generating significant buzz. The game is slated for release next year on PC via Steam.

Frog Sqwad! plunges up to eight players into a cooperative, slapstick bonanza set in the sewers. Players take on the role of tiny frogs on a mission to appease the ravenous Swamp King by hunting down and delivering giant pieces of food. The core mechanics center around teamwork and physics-based interactions: frogs must utilize their sticky tongues to swing across pipes, solve complex puzzles, drag massive food items through tight tunnels, and even catapult their teammates to reach high platforms.

The game encourages players to “eat, eat, EAT” until they grow into a humongous, rolling Megafrog, gaining size and a voice that changes based on proximity chat as they swell. Successful runs earn Gold, which can be spent on new physics toys, gadgets, and cosmetic items to customize their amphibious avatars and gain an edge in future missions. However, the stakes are high: players must meet their quotas, or risk becoming the Swamp King's next meal themselves.

Panic Stations is leveraging its experience crafting mass-multiplayer mayhem to deliver a title full of chaotic charm, sticky physics, and high-energy cooperative fun. With its focus on team-based platforming and unpredictable interactions, Frog Sqwad! is shaping up to be a hilarious new entry in the social multiplayer genre.
