Great news for horror fans! The unique 1–4 player ghost-hunting game, Lost Lullabies: The Orphanage Chronicles, is officially leaving Early Access and has reached its full release on October 27. Since its initial Early Access launch in March, the game has been building on its core concept of blending traditional investigation with rich, story-driven horror.
Lost Lullabies differentiates itself by designing a game that is just as enjoyable for solo players as it is for groups. The developers ensured that the narrative—the chilling story of the orphanage—is central to the gameplay.
The game's core loop consists of two distinct and terrifying phases. The first phase sees 1–4 players using their equipment to investigate the haunted environment and gather evidence to correctly identify the type of ghost. Once the spirit is successfully identified, the game transitions into the second, more personal phase: a story-driven mini-game tied to the ghost's backstory. For example, to help a little girl ghost find peace, players must repair her fragmented teddy bear while a new, unique enemy chases them.
What’s New in Version 1.0?
The full version 1.0 release is packed with new content, much of it driven directly by player feedback:
One New Map: A highly requested feature to expand the haunting grounds.
Three New Ghosts: Each with unique appearances, jumpscares, and dedicated story phases.
Three New Mini-Games: Specifically tied to the backstories of the newly added ghosts.
Full Story Completion: The entire chilling narrative of the orphanage is now available, allowing players to finally experience the complete, dark tales of the children, teachers, and even the mad doctors who once resided there.
With its innovative two-phase horror loop and a now-complete narrative, Lost Lullabies is ready to deliver a terrifying and emotionally resonant ghost-hunting experience. The developers are eagerly awaiting reviews and feedback as they mark this significant milestone for the small studio.
