The ultimate scaring experience is back! Just in time for Steam Scream Fest 2025, the wickedly anticipated new demo for Ghost Keeper is now live on Steam. Fans of strategy, mischief, and the supernatural can now shake off the dust from their cunning evil plans, summon eerie monsters, and strike fear into the hearts of mortals.
Ghost Keeper, from the team at QuestCraft, is a lovingly wicked homage to the cult classic Ghost Master, but reimagined with a modern flair and a grotesquely charming Victorian twist. Players assume the role of a canny acolyte, commanding a squad of eccentric ghosts, demons, and beasts with one singular mission: terrorize the living and outsmart the ghost-hunting Brotherhood.
What’s New in the Demo?
The brand-new demo offers an extended preview of the haunting gameplay loop. It includes three stunning locations—William’s House, Phineas’ Manor, and the Cemetery—providing diverse arenas for chaos. Players will have command over three unique ghosts (William, Night Blade, Phineas) and one terrifying beast (Shadowmaw), each with specialized skills.
The demo also grants access to the Hideout, allowing for basic upgrade paths for your monsters between missions. Players can dive into the extended core loop, experimenting with early-game tactics such as balancing Essence points, summoning monsters, and utilizing new skills to display their tactical superiority.
Outsmart the Brotherhood
Beyond terrifying mortals, Keepers must also contend with the ghost-hating Brotherhood. Their specialized equipment, traps, and knowledge of paranormal phenomena will constantly threaten your villainous plans. Success requires cunning strategy, utilizing your minions’ unique powers, and always staying one step ahead. The game allows for numerous methods and strategies, ensuring there's never just one path to victory.
Set in the outstanding elegance of the 19th-century Victorian Era, the game couples its detailed, eye-pleasing visuals with a bizarre, yet engaging humor. The developers are eagerly calling on all would-be Keepers to play the demo and share their thoughts via Steam or through the special feedback form built directly into the game. Your input will help shape the full experience ahead of its final release.
