Vienna-based solo developer Bernie Wick has announced that his latest game, Fading Serenades, will be released on Steam on October 23. This charming new title is a cozy, top-down courier game that promises a relaxing and nostalgic adventure.
Fading Serenades puts players in the shoes of a young courier named Callum. The game is set on the mysterious Clifford's Island, where players will explore a rugged landscape and help the local islanders with their deliveries. The game blends elements of classic action-adventure titles with a self-paced, narrative-driven experience.
Players will navigate the island by hiking, jumping, climbing, and balancing through a series of movement-based mini-games. As they make deliveries and complete quests, the story unfolds, introducing them to a cast of charming characters. A key mechanic is managing a small backpack inventory, which makes traversing the island more challenging the more parcels you carry.
