The highly anticipated rhythm roguelike action game Ratatan is officially launching into Early Access on Friday, September 19, 2025. The announcement was made by developer Ratata Arts during a special play session event in Tokyo, where members of the press and streamers got an exclusive first look at new content.
The event offered attendees hands-on time with the latest build, a Q&A with the development team, and a live DJ set featuring new tracks from the game. This provided a memorable sneak peek into the game's vibrant world and unique rhythm-based gameplay.
Ratata Arts also revealed exciting new content that players can expect. The game will feature World 3: Jam Jammer Jungle Journey, a dense jungle filled with ancient ruins, treacherous swamps, and fierce wildlife. Deep within this new world, players will have to face the priestess Tolja So as she prepares a dark ritual. The announcement also teased World 4: Frozen Flower Fantasia, a frigid domain ruled by the icy Glaciera.
In addition to new worlds, several previously unrevealed Ratatans were showcased, each with unique new weapon types, including staves, bombs, scythes, and hammers. These new additions promise to bring greater variety to the battlefield and introduce new strategic possibilities for players.
Ahead of the Early Access launch, a special livestream will be held on Sunday, September 14, on the "AGRS Channel" on YouTube. The stream, hosted by voice actor Tomokazu Sugita, will provide the latest updates, an exclusive look at the post-launch roadmap, and information on upcoming events.
