Get ready to tap your toes and lead your troops! Ratata Arts is thrilled to announce that Ratatan, the highly anticipated rhythm rogue-lite action game from the acclaimed creators of Patapon, will launch in Early Access on Steam starting July 25, 2025.

Ahead of the full Early Access rollout, players can dive into the vibrant world of Redo right now. A brand-new Early Access Trailer has been revealed, and a free demo version is available on Steam as of June 5th. This demo offers a taste of the game's unique rhythm-based, side-scrolling action, allowing players to explore World 1 “Pirates of the Parabbean” through World 2 “Yeehawler Mountain.” You can command four distinct Ratatan characters and even team up with friends in online co-op for up to four players.

Ratatan is a colorful and chaotic adventure where rhythm is key to victory. Players will recruit allies, build their Cobun army, and combine forces with friends to defeat mischievous evildoers. The game promises a delightful and heartfelt experience with over 100 controllable characters and rhythm-driven combat that truly comes alive with its catchy soundtrack, composed by veteran Kemmei Adachi and featuring a special guest track by David Wise.

The excitement doesn't stop there. Ratatan is slated to be a highlight at several major summer gaming events. A new trailer and interview section debuted at the Day of the Devs 2025: Summer Showcase, and the Ratata Arts team is showcasing the game in-person at the SGF Play Days event in Los Angeles (June 7th-8th). Fans can also look forward to Ratatan being featured in the upcoming Future Games Show on June 8th and the PC Gaming Show on June 9th.

Building on its incredible success, Ratatan famously raised over ¥170 million (~USD 1.2M) on Kickstarter in August 2023, making it the #1 most-funded video game campaign of 2023 and placing it in the Top 25 of all time on the platform. With its charming 2D animations and innovative rhythm commands, Ratatan is set to be a standout title for rhythm-action enthusiasts.
