Upcoming PS5 exclusive Rise of the Ronin will have character creation and 4 player co-op

Team Ninja's upcoming action-adventure game, Rise of the Ronin, is set to be a stellar blockbuster like their other titles, and better news is that the PlayStation 5 exclusive will feature up to four-player co-op online.

The upcoming action epic is set during the Bakamatsu era in Japan and will see players play as a Ronin navigating their way through different political factions as they help to shape the course of history. It's a historical epic, that features sword fighting, political strangleholds, and eye-melting combat that is challenging yet rewarding to engage in. Best of all, 4 player co-op has been confirmed for Rise of the Ronin via the game's FAQ section. The FAQ states that three others can join in online co-op. The FAQs also confirm there will be no PvP in Rise of the Ronin, meaning this is a true and thorough cooperative experience that's focused on PvE gameplay.

In Rise of the Ronin, players will also be able to create their custom character with a highly detailed character creation tool. During the adventure, players will meet historical figures who can become allies or worse yet, enemies in a new bond system Team Ninja has created. The system allows for dynamic changes and events in missions depending on who you bring. Combat designer director Takeo Fujisaki said in a new behind-the-scenes video, that players will be able to switch between characters mid-combat, adding another layer of gameplay strategy.
