Earlier this month, Stellar Blade finally got a new trailer during PlayStation's State of Play showcase, giving everyone a deeper dive into the world and the fast-paced combat, along with a final release date for the upcoming epic action RPG. Stellar Blade looks like a stunning throwback to the 360 era of action/adventure games, namely the legendary Bayonetta, and in recent years, Nier Automata which gained a huge following.
Stellar Blade is set to be the next big Japanese Sci-Fi epic, with immense and action-packed gameplay, stunning visual designs, and overall be a ton of fun.
As the developers have said about Stellar Blade:
Save humanity from extinction in this electrifying story-driven action adventure.
The future of humanity is balanced on the edge of a blade. Ravaged by strange, powerful creatures, Earth has been abandoned, and what is left of the decimated human race has fled to a Colony in outer space.
After travelling from the Colony, Paratrooper Eve arrives on the desolate remains of our planet with a clear-cut mission: to save humankind by reclaiming Earth from the NA:tive – the malevolent force that has devastated it.
But as Eve tackles the NA:tive one-by-one, piecing together the mysteries of the past as she explores the ruins of human civilisation, she realises that her mission is far from straightforward. In fact, almost nothing is as it seems…
Stellar Blade has gathered quite a response from gamers, with many praising the epic combat, the visuals, the world design, the character design and the protagonist. While there are plenty of oddballs who see nothing more than just a pretty woman on screen and make the whole deal be about that, the game itself looks incredible, with tightly woven action, an interesting setting for the world, and cool enemy designs. Eve is indeed quite beautiful in our opinion, and while there are some sex appeal aspects to consider, it's all quite toned down compared to characters lke Quiet from MGSV, which was kind of overboard.
We love the look of the game and recommend everyone to check out the trailer below to get a taste of things to come when Stellar Blade launched exclusively on PS5 on the 26th of April this year.
