It's not long now until we finally get to play the full version of one of this year's biggest, most highly anticipated games. Baldur's Gate 3 is the long-awaited sequel from Larian Studios and is set to launch for PC on the 3rd of August and on the 6th of September for PS5. The beloved series has been in a sleeper state for quite some time, with numerous side stories such as Dark Alliance helping to fill the void, but having 20 years between sequels is quite something.
Baldur's Gate 3 promises to bring forth a gripping and revolutionary return to classic RPGs, filled with horror, fantasy, action and plenty of nudity. The long-awaited sequel was first announced 4 years ago and has been in early access for quite some time. We took a look and wrote up a preview of Baldur's Gate 3 (which felt like a lifetime ago) and absolutely loved it! But don't worry, if you're PC can't handle the beastly graphics and presentation, it will be coming to PS5 as well, just a month after the PC launch.
From footage and coverage recently, showcasing how many endings there will be, some trippy love scene between a man and a bear! and the immense amount of customisation, cutscenes and more, Baldur's Gate 3 is shaping up to be the biggest RPG of all time, if not the biggest game of all time! Compared to something like the Mass Effect Trilogy, Baldur's Gate 3 is an immense game, featuring 17,000 ending variations, 174 hours of cutscenes, and over 2 million words of dialogue in total. It is a vastly beautiful game, rich in detail, with immense world-building and will feature locale co-op as well, which not many AAA games do as of late. There are 7 playable characters, with multiple class types, races and sub-classes to choose from. You can see a full overview below of what Baldur's Gate 3 has on offer.
+ Baldur’s Gate 3 script contains over 2 million words
