Vertigo Games and InnerspaceVR today released their critically acclaimed VR adventure game A Fisherman’s Tale for Oculus Quest. Recently awarded VR Game of the Year 2019 at The VR Awards, A Fisherman’s Tale welcomes a whole new audience of Oculus Quest players to its mind-bending world starting today. The game is now available in the Oculus Store for $14,99/€14,99.

The live-action launch trailer and new Quest screenshots offer a window into the surreal and dreamlike world of A Fisherman’s Tale on Oculus Quest.

Showcased and explained in an all-new developer commentary video, A Fisherman’s Tale offers one-of-a-kind “single player co-op” gameplay made possible through the unique power of VR. Players are trapped in an infinite recursion and will have to work with ever smaller and bigger replications of themselves to solve environmental puzzles and find their way out of a world where physics are utterly broken.

Since its initial release on PC VR and PlayStation VR earlier this year, the critically acclaimed VR title has won multiple awards, most recently VR Game Of The Year at the VR Awards, and has been invited by several film festivals, such as Film Gate and Venice Film Festival, where it was recognized for its innovative narrative design.

“We are excited to welcome an entirely new audience to the game and we hope that you will thoroughly enjoy the adventure of our little fisherman on the Quest!” Says InnerspaceVR Creative Director Balthazar Auxietre. A Fisherman’s Tale was fully optimized for its release on Oculus Quest and offers refurbished gameplay and user experience. All improvements will be updated on other PC platforms later this week.
