Carrion is a brand new horror game where players take on the role of the monster rather than the survivors/humans. It's an interesting concept and one that has been done before but never fully utilised. Yet Carrion looks to be a rather ruthless and visceral experience, which we love the look of.

As the developers have stated: CARRION is a reverse horror game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origin. Stalk and consume those that imprisoned you to spread fear and panic throughout the facility. Grow and evolve as you tear down this prison and acquire more and more devastating abilities on the path to retribution.

Set on board a scientific space station, the creature which has been captured and studied upon escapes and runs riot on the station. But this time, you are the monster and it's up to players to consume, sabotage and escape. It's pixel art style and extreme gore reminds us of Butcher from 2016, a hyper-violent shooter where players take on the role of an alien trying to destroy the remains of humanity in the future. We loved Butcher and I think we'll love this too. And so will you if this is your thing.

Stay tuned for more news on Carrion as it releases on PC and Consoles in 2020.
