Microsoft has always been one of the strongest showrunners at E3 and each year they are able to keep their fans engaged and bring in new ones. Microsoft’s focus for their shows has been about one important thing (maybe two things this year) and that is video games. With 60 titles to show this year, 32 coming to Game Pass and 13 of them from in-house developers, it seems like Microsoft might have the edge over the competition.

You can see below the highlights of their shows and what we thought were the most important to know. It’s best to watch the show but for a recap of the best bits, check our list below.

Halo Infinite – coming 2020 and will be a launch title for Project Scarlett

We got our first look at the upcoming Halo Infinite which will be a front runner for Microsoft’s new console coming out next year. Master Chief makes a return (in what looks like a soft reboot of the franchise) as he is discovered floating in space and rescued. However a new threat emerges and Master Chief soon discovers that there is a Halo Array still active. So I guess it’s time for Chief to return and finish the fight (again). Halo Infinite is coming out Christmas time next year.

Also Halo: The Master Cheif Collection is coming to PC!

Project Scarlett

The next console from Microsoft which is stated to be 4 times more powerful than the Xbox One X. The team behind the development have stated it will combine all aspects of gaming into one package and play games at 120 frames per second and higher than 4K resolutions. It sounds insane and we’re super excited to see what the future of next gen looks like.

Forza Horizon 4 – Lego update

For those who couldn’t get enough of Forza Horizon 4, there’s a new update coming and it’s aimed at your inner child. Lego is coming to Forza Horizon 4 with a new update that introduces new cars, new challenges and new elements that allow you to create and be destructive in the funniest way possible. Coming out very soon!

Game Pass coming to PC and Xbox Ultimate Pass

Another announcement which PC gamers have been waiting for is the arrival of Xbox Game Pass on PC. This will allow PC gamers to play all games on Xbox Game Pass and best of all; you can use the pass on both platforms at no extra charge. Plus there’s a new pass called the Ultimate Pass that combines Game Pass for Xbox and Pc and Xbox Live gold, all in one neat package. It’s priced at around £10 per month but you can get a super deal on it at the moment for £1 for a month.

Ninja Theory reveals their new IP for Xbox

Ninja Theory showed off their newest IP which is a 4 v 4 melee brawler that looks insane and colourful. Ninja Theory have always pushed the envelope with melee combat and throwing it into a competitive game is very interesting. Bleeding Edge will be available on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate when it launches.

The Outer Worlds coming to Game Pass

The studio behind the Best Fallout game in the last decade (and maybe longer) is bringing us the next big Sci-Fi RPG shooter. It’s out of this world but thankfully we don’t have to wait lightyears for The Outer Worlds as it arrives 25th of October 2019 and will launch on Xbox Game Pass.

New dungeon crawler inspired Minecraft game

Love Minecraft? Love Dungeon Crawlers? Well this game is for you. Looking like Zelda made from Minecraft blocks, Minecraft Dungeons is a quirky, top down dungeon explorer that aims to bring friends together as they explore, conquer and battle. Coming out in Spring 2020.

Ori and the Will if the Wisps releases in February 2020

Update for Moon Studio’s epic 2D Metrovania title, Ori and the Will of the Wisps which is coming out in February 2020. It’s been five years since the last game but from the trailers, it looks like it will be worth the wait. It’s visually stunning, epic boss battles and a beautiful world to explore meaning its one not to miss out on.

Cyberpunk 2077 stars Keanu Reeves and comes out March 2020

While Phill Spencer is a great host, I will admit when Keanu Reeves came onto the stage to show off a gameplay trailer and release date for Cyberpunk 2077, I was hoping he would finish the rest of the show! But sadly the John Wick star came on but was great as an announcer, bringing forth the release date of Cyberpunk 2077. CD Project Red’s next epic RPG will come out next year in March.

Gears 5 will feature new mode known as Escape!

Gears 5 had a presence at E3 but no gameplay/story footage sadly. Yet we were informed of a brand new mode called Escape which pits 3 players a dangerous task of arming a bomb and escaping the danger zone with their lives. While it was a CGI trailer, the premise sounds very interesting. Will have stay tuned for more info!

That’s our round up. Stay tuned for more E3 news right here.
