Well E3 is starting to close this week with only a couple of shows remaining. But one of the most highly anticipated was the Sony Conference and they did not disappoint. Sony has an edge over the exclusive market and they made sure gamers and other publishers knew this. There were some amazing highlights for the Sony Press Conference and here they are:

1. Resident Evil 2 Remake – Reveal trailer and release date

All horror fans rejoice! It’s been nearly three years since it was announced that Resident Evil 2 would be remade for the current generation, 20 years after it’s original release. Sony presented a trailer for the upcoming remake which began from the first-person view of an unfortunate rat that observes a struggle between a sheriff and a zombie. Then enters a much younger Leon S Kennedy as he witnesses the madness taking over Raccoon city. We also see Claire Redfield, Sherry, Melvin and a few nasties including Lickers.

Check out the trailer below for a glimpse of what Capcom is bringing us on January 25th!

2. The Last of Us 2 Gameplay revealed

We’ve not seen any actual gameplay of The Last of Us 2 until now. Sony gave us a powerful trailer that shows Elle who’s now grown up and is dancing with another young woman. They embrace as the camera pans to another scene where Elle is battling a group of savage hunters, using her bow, knife and wits to take out these guys. The animations look insane, the combat is brutal and the harrowing nature of the first game returns.

Check out the trailer and stay tuned for a release date.

3. Control Premier

From the guys who brought us Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break, Remedy revealed their latest game entitled Control. This is another time control themed shooter that looks more fluent and dynamic than Quantum Break. The action is intense, the time controlled based gameplay is highly energetic and the style overall feel seems to be inspired more by the original Max Payne games. Could this be the smash hit from Remedy we’ve been waiting for since Max Payne 2? Check it out.

4. Death Stranding – Gameplay revealed

Hideo Kojima’s highly anticipated game mad another appearance at Sony’s press conference this year. We still don’t have a release date but did get an insight to some of the gameplay mechanics and a saw a wider perspective of the world Norman Reedus’ character is based in. There’s plenty of weird baby delivery stuff, invisible monsters and another celebrity joins the cast.

5. Ghosts of Tsushima

Another highly anticipated title made its world premiere last night as Sony revealed gameplay and story elements of Ghosts of Tsushima. This open world RPG set in Feudal Japan is being developed by the same guys who created the Infamous series and has been described as The Witcher 3 set in Japan. It looks immense and possibly the high point of Sony’s press conference.

6. Spider-Man – Open world gameplay

Everyone loves Spiderman and soon enough we’ll get to live out our childhood dreams of swinging through the New York city, battle various super villains and pull off classic Spidey puns and banter only he can deliver (maybe Deadpool too). Insomniac brought us the insanely good Sunset Overdrive on Xbox One, but now they might have made their greatest game and it’s only on PS4.

That’s it folks! The top announcements from Sony’s E3 Conference but there’s more to come as this week and we bet there’s even a few surprises still. Stay tuned right here at Game-News.
