Well E3 2018 has kicked off and first up were EA with their live presentation yesterday. There was a lot of hype surrounding news of Battlefield V and Anthem and finally we got closure on these and many more games. So here's a round up of what came from EA's press conference yesterday.

1. Anthem is being released on February 22nd 2019

From Bioware comes this exciting new IP featuring Mech-suits, flying and epic battles on an alien planet that looks gorgeous! It’s a shared-world role-playing game set in a hostile future, where players don powered armor suits known as “javelins” to play cooperative missions. EA finally revealed a release date, more details on gameplay and what we should expect and a few minutes of gameplay which looked awesome. Check out the trailer below.

2. EA brings us another awesome new IP with Sea of Solitude

EA has been known to bring us yearly series and big budget AAA titles, but they're also renowned for their publishing of the best indie games of the last ten years. We finally got a sneak peak of Sea of Solitude and it looked awesome. One of the game’s core themes is that “when humans get too lonely, they turn into monsters” — and in this case, that’s literally the plight of protagonist Kay, who must explore a nearly deserted city finding others like herself. Sea of Solitude could be one of the best indie games EA has ever produced and it comes out in early 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Check out the presentation below.

3. Unravel gets a sequel and it's out now!

Yep, EA brings us another indie gem and it's the sequel to the classic platformer about a small, lovable character made of yarn. Unravel 2 is said to be more “family friendly” yet propose a greater sense of challenge and “more playful” than the original. Among other changes, Unravel 2 will feature two Yarny characters, which means that either one player can control both, or two people can play cooperatively. Unravel 2 is now released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

4. Except more Star Wars games!

It was a shaky start to Star Wars: Battlefront 2 last year, but EA have promised to deliver more games from the beloved franchise. Titanfall developer Respawn have hinted at a new single player Star Wars game and it’s called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We don’t know much sadly other than it 's a single-player story game and is slated for release during the holiday season in 2019. Plus Star Wars Battlefront 2 is due more content starting from the 12th of June with a Solo-themed expansion, featuring new environments on Kessel and a new starfighter mode, among other things.

5. Battlefield V!

Yep, you've been waiting for this and EA didn't disappoint. Battlefield V will now have a battle royal mode that EA promised will break the mould and have new dynamics exclusive to Battlefield. Don't worry, there is a single player mode and EA have said it will follow in the footsteps of Battlefield 1 with the excellently designed War stories style campaign.

That's it! There are other releases including FIFA 19, Maiden and more yearly releases! Stay tuned for more from E3, right here at Game-News.
